Position Title: J Street U Operations and Programming Coordinator

Are you interested in growing J Street’s campus program? Do you want to help engage and inspire students to advocate for a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, an end to the occupation and principled, effective US diplomacy in the Middle East?
J Street is looking for the newest member of the J Street U team, the student arm of the pro-Israel, pro-peace movement. The candidate hired for this position will have interest and experience in youth empowerment and a desire to strengthen the Jewish American progressive voice on Israel -- on campus, in the Jewish community, and within the arenas of American politics and policy.
The J Street U Operations and Programming Coordinator will be a member of the J Street U Team. As Operations and Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating J Street U’s data management protocol as well as students involvement in our communication and political work
The ideal candidate will have qualities that lend themselves to successful student engagement and program administration. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and someone with a passion for our issue.

Organization
J Street is the political home for pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans working for the future of Israel as the democratic homeland of the Jewish people. The organization believes that preserving Israel’s Jewish and democratic character depends on achieving a two-state solution, resulting in a Palestinian state living alongside Israel in peace and security.
J Street focuses its work in three main areas: (1) Advocating and demonstrating support for pro-Israel, pro-peace policies in Congress, the media and the Jewish community; (2) Endorsing and raising money for federal candidates who share J Street’s agenda; and (3) Educating the public and raising awareness of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the two-state solution.
Compensation, Benefits and Employment Status
This is a full-time position, with occasional work outside traditional work hours on an as-needed basis. The salary for this full-time non-exempt position is $45,500-$49,500. Per J Street's Collective Bargaining Agreement, pay and title are commensurate with experience and according to pay bands outlined in our CBA. This position can be hybrid.

J Street recognizes a staff bargaining unit affiliated with IFPTE Local 70, a union for non-profit workers. This position is included in J Street’s bargaining unit and is covered under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.

There are no extraordinary physical requirements for the performance of the essential functions of this position. There is potentially some travel associated with the role but this can be discussed if the physical demands of travel would prevent someone from applying.
